The School Councillors trip to Jubilee lake
On Thursday 23rd February 2006, Wootton Bassett Town Council invited the Longleaze Primary School Councillors to plant some trees by Jubilee
Lake. Most of the School Councillors, including Miss Dickinson and Mrs Glenton, set off at around 12:30pm. It was not the best of weather as the snow kept pouring down on us. Finally we got there. We were met by the Wootton Bassett Town Council. Then we helped them get the trees and a couple of other things off the truck. We walked back down to the lake. All of the school councillors then got split into four groups of four and started to plant some trees. We planted oak trees and a couple of other types of trees, including maples. Every one enjoyed planting trees but the snow carried on coming down. Overall it was a good day out. When we got back to school all of us were very cold.
